Math Competition
The Mathletics Competition is a fun-filled math challenge that inspires and engages pupils of all abilities. Mathletics is a competition designed to create a passion in the application of mathematics in solving day-to-day scientific and engineering problems. Students are challenged to be active and creative in the use of mathematics. It creates an excitement and enthusiasm for math in our school like you have never seen before! Pupils compete against their peers and other children from across the region. The questions focus on improving mental arithmetic skills as well as reinforcing concepts taught in our curriculum.Mathletics is a math competition that involves teamwork and problem solving. The Avenue City School participates in the contest annually held at St. Paul Lutheran School in St. Joseph, MO. The completion encourages excellence in mathematics and recognizes achievement of individual students and the schools they represent.
