2016 Winter Program - "There is Snow Way Out"
On Tuesday, December 6, at 7 pm, many parents, students, and patrons joined us in the gym at Avenue City School. They followed the sound of jingle bells and found a Winter Wonderland.
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades kicked things off, joyfully singing some of our favorite classic holiday tunes…and there were some adorable penguins in the mix!
The middle school choir then took the stage with their own enjoyable set. Some songs were new, some very familiar…and some were just downright silly!
Finally, grades 3-5 presented “Snow Way Out! A Vacation in Winter’s Wonderland,” a mini-musical by Sally K. Albrecht and Jay Althouse. In their would-be Winter Wonderland, Jack and Jackie Frost, along with all their hotel guests, anxiously await the arrival of Old Man Winter and the snow that he will bring. Will little Sunny get to make her very first snow angel with her new friends, or will everyone spend their winter stuck in front of the T.V.?
