One Earth, One Chance School Recycling Program
Our school is participating in the One Earth, One Chance School Recycling Program this year to help educate children about the importance of recycling, and encourage more recycling among faculty and students. The program is easy, educational, and fun!
The One Earth, Once Chance Recycling Program was created by Deffenbaugh Industries, the metro-area's largest waste management company. Large recycling bins will be placed in the school parking lot and we will utilize these bins for collecting recyclable materials throughout the school. Members of the community can utilize the recycling bins to drop off recyclable materials, too.
I encourage you and your family to use the bins for any newspapers, magazines, office paper, soft drink cartons, #1-7 plastics, and aluminum cans. The more we collect, the more we help ensure a sustainable environment.
We'll be sharing recycling tips and information with students throughout the year to help them become more environmentally aware. We think this is a very exciting opportunity for students and our school!
Thank you for your support of this important initiative!
