Parents at Avenue City R-IX School District traded their standard morning routines for a front-row seat in education during the district’s "Coffee in the Classroom" event. The morning gathering provided parents and guardians the opportunity to step directly into their children’s classrooms. From 8:00 a.m. to 9: 50 a.m, guardians enjoyed coffee while getting a firsthand look at daily learning in action, observing teachers, and experiencing the classroom environment alongside students.
District administration emphasized that opening classroom doors during active instruction builds a stronger, bridge between home and school. The ACES staff aimed to give families a transparent view of the learning environment while reinforcing the vital connection between parents and teachers.
"Coffee in the Classroom" is part of Avenue City R-IX's ongoing efforts to promote active parent participation and foster a close-knit community atmosphere across the district. School officials expressed gratitude for the strong community turnout, highlighting that strong home-school partnerships play a vital role in student achievement and overall well-being.
