ACES Activities During Red Ribbon Week
This year we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from Monday, October 25 through Friday, October 29. Our theme this year is "Smart Cookies Don't Do Drugs." To go along with our theme, our Student Council is having a cookie bake sale in the cafeteria from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28th.
Being Drug Free comes in "cans" - I CAN, YOU CAN, WE CAN AVOID DRUGS! Please bring canned/imperishable food items to school for a food bank donation the week of Red Ribbon. Boxes will be in the halls to collect your donations.
Last week in our guidance lessons, we started our drug unit, which will run for the next five or six weeks. We've planned some activities for Red Ribbon Week that we hope will be both fun and educational for everyone and that tie into our lessons about drug use and abuse.
Drug education is very important for students of all ages. If you want more information on the origin of Red Ribbon Week, or have any questions or suggestions, please let us know.
