Change in AFTERNOON Bus Routes Begins 8/27/21
AFTERNOON Bus Riders
After three days, we find ourselves in a unique position. Last year, bus riding was at its lowest level. This year, more parents are letting their children ride home on the bus. Our evening buses are full. While masks are required on the buses, we feel that creating more distance between riders is a good thing. Finding qualified drivers on such short notice is next to impossible so this solution/practice is going to be implemented starting Friday 8/27/21. This practice will remain in effect until further notice.
All Indian Ridge and Millstone bus riders will be delivered home a few minutes earlier than is typical. By dismissing those riders approximately 5-10 minutes sooner, we believe the bus can make this run and return to school so the remaining riders on both buses will be delivered home. We may find that the remaining students, who are not living in Indian Ridge and Millstone, may actually arrive home sooner with this new arrangement. We will reevaluate this issue on an ongoing basis and will make necessary adjustments if needed. As always, we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
Don Lawrence
