❄️ First Snow of the Season! ❄️ It wasn’t much, but it was just enough for a few of our students to have snow much fun before it melted away! Moments like these make winter days at ACES extra special. ☃️💙

Another season has begun! 🏹
Middle School basketball wrapped up last week, and now our Archer season for grades 4–8 is officially underway! This morning’s practice was a great kick-off, and we’re excited to share that 36 students are signed up for this successful and growing program.
We’re proud to offer archery through NASP — the National Archery in the Schools Program, giving our students the chance to build focus, confidence, and skill in a fun, supportive environment.

While our K–8 students were out of the building, our preschoolers heard a mysterious gobble! With flashlights, turkey calls, and big smiles, they set off on a full-building adventure to track down the “wild turkey.”

We’re sad to report the turkey was never found… but the joy, laughter, and exploration made the hunt absolutely priceless! 🦃✨

The last day before Thanksgiving Break was an ALL SCHOOL Fun Day for our K–8th graders at Belt Entertainment! 🎳🎉

A huge thank you to our PTO for helping make this memorable day possible with partial funding. Our students had an absolute blast—some of the best reviews included:

We love giving our ACES hands-on experiences that bring joy, laughter, and a little friendly competition. What a great way to kick off the holiday break! 🧡🦃

Our classrooms have been busy learning all about the history of Thanksgiving! From exploring the traditions of the first feast to trying out fun costumes and hands-on activities, our students are soaking up every moment. Grateful for learning, community, and for ACES family!

🦃 Two days before Thanksgiving and our PE classes are in full turkey hunting mode!
Our “hunters” are hiding behind the blind, and our speedy “turkeys” are darting back and forth trying not to get hit with the ball. So much laughter, energy, and Thanksgiving fun in the gym today!
Nothing like a little pre-holiday excitement to keep us moving! 🏃‍♂️🎉🦃

Congrats to our 4th grade ACES student for being selected as the elementary winner for the Buckle Up Phone Down Billboard Competition! Look for her design on billboards in St. Joe, Cameron, & Brookfield throughout December and featured on the MoDOT NW District FB page. 

Using food as a learning tool is both valuable and FUN! 🍽️📚 From building teepees out of tortillas to reading about pancakes and then cooking up a fresh batch—our classrooms are full of hands-on, tasty learning. Nothing like a little “mmm… mmm… GOOD!” to make lessons stick!

It’s the 67th day of school, so around here we just smile and say 6…7! 😄 The kids started it… and honestly, we’re all in on the fun now!

Who knew a rainy Monday would turn into a brand-new school fad? Today is the 67th day of school, and our students decided to celebrate by chanting “6…7!” all day long.

We kicked off the morning with some balloon fun, and from there the excitement just kept growing. If you can’t beat ’em… join ’em!

ACES proudly represented at the MoWest Honor Choir Festival! These students joined more than 150 singers from across the area to present a concert on Thursday night. Sylvanie’s poem/lyric was selected as one of only three to be featured during the choir’s performance.
