🎯 **DISTRICT PRIDE:** What an incredible week for Avenue City School archery! We are thrilled to celebrate 5th grader Kolt, who recently traveled to Daytona Beach to compete against the absolute best young archers in the nation at the NASP 3D Championship Tournament!
Kolt put on a fantastic performance, capped off an amazing season, and represented with true excellence. Check out his incredible stats for the year:

🎯 **27th Place** at Eastern Nationals
🎯 **36th Place** at the East/West Championship
To achieve this level of success—especially as a fifth grader—is an extraordinary accomplishment that very few can claim!

The gardens are loving this rain! Cucumbers, radish, spinach, tomatoes, along with lots of herbs and milkweed. Today we made lavender soap!
📚🎲 Summer Book Club explored the fun of old-fashioned games!
Students put away the screens and discovered how much fun simple games can be. From classic favorites to games that grandparents may have played, there was plenty of laughter, and friendly competition.
Our gardeners rolled up their sleeves to weed and water the garden, helping our plants stay healthy and strong. We also learned all about ladybugs and the important role they play in keeping our gardens thriving. Hands-on learning, fresh air, and growing minds—just another great day in Garden Club!

Garden Club was busy growing knowledge today! We learned about the different parts of a flower & got their hands dirty weeding our garden area. The excitement continued as they explored and found butterfly caterpillars and eggs—an up-close look at nature’s amazing life cycle!

Our Summer Reading Group hit a home run with a tour of Phil Welch Stadium! Students stepped behind the scenes, learned about the history of the game, and experienced the ballpark where so many baseball memories have been made.

Our Garden Club members have been digging into science as they learned about the life cycles of plants. From tiny seeds to blooming flowers and thriving vegetables, students explored how plants grow and what they need to flourish.

Our students celebrated “stepping up” to the next grade. They used sidewalk chalk, smiles, to express the excitement for what’s ahead. Our kids are growing, learning, and ready for their next adventure!
Our USA 250 Color Run may have started as a celebration of America, but it quickly turned into teachers vs. students in an epic color slime showdown! 😂 The teachers had WAY too much fun spraying the kids with color slime… it was exactly what we all needed!
Remember the magic of Storytime right after lunch? That quiet moment of getting lost in a book before the afternoon bell? 📚✨

Today marked a historic kickoff for our America 250 celebration! 🇺🇸
We were honored to be joined by the Savannah Junior ROTC Color Guard for a moving opening ceremony. To capture this moment in history, each of our classes presented special items for a time capsule.
This capsule will remain sealed until America’s Tricentennial in 2076. It’s a bridge between our students today and the generation that will celebrate our nation’s 300th anniversary!
