🎃 For a short week, our ACES accomplished so much! From Pumpkins and Parent-Teacher Conferences to Ga-Ga Ball, basketball, and Entrepreneur Club! 1st Quarter is behind us and we are looking forward to 2nd Quarter!

From Spooky the Square Pumpkin & Parent-Teacher Conferences to Ga-Ga Ball, basketball, & Entrepreneur Club — our students were busy learning in every way!
They practiced sight words, tackled new math concepts, memorized historical speeches, & made memories along the way.

"Pass the Pumpkin!”- Preschoolers to upper elementary, kids are keeping the beat, learning rhythm, & sharing smiles as the music moves from hand to hand.
It’s such a joyful reminder that sometimes the simplest traditions bring the most fun — especially when music is involved!

We will be partnering with the Savannah Police Department for a Prescription Drug Take Back during the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. under the Gazebo.
Community members can safely dispose of unused or expired medications.

ACES Entrepreneur Club students participated in mock interviews, gained feedback, & learned what it takes to run a successful business.
A huge thank you to our local company owners for mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs — your support makes a lasting impact!

With help from the Andrew County Museum we explored genealogy & history that makes Andrew County home. Gaining a deeper appreciation for where we come from & the people who came before us.
Understanding our roots helps build a sense of belonging that ties generations together.

A great first basketball game for the
ACES Men! They take home the win against the Union Star Trojans, 47 to 33. See both boys and girls in action next Monday at home versus South Holt.

It’s Parent/Teacher Conference Week at Avenue City School! These meetings are such an important part of your child’s educational journey. Conferences give parents and teachers a chance to work together—celebrating progress, setting goals, and ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed. We appreciate our families for taking the time to partner with us. When schools and families work together, great things happen for kids!

Each year, the 7th graders write letters to the sitting President of the U.S. focusing on an issue they feel needs attention in our nation. This student received a wonderful response letter from the POTUS. Her letter addressed making public school more engaging & inspiring.

SHS athletes stopped by this morning to share school spirit and bring awareness to Breast Cancer Awareness Month with their “Pink Out” theme.
Thank you to our Student Council for adding even more sweetness to the day with a bake sale to support future student activities!

🎯 It’s that time again — Avenue City Archery Season is getting underway! 🏹
We’re looking forward to another amazing year, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible sponsors who continue to support our team. As our program grows, we’re looking for new sponsors to help our archers reach even greater heights!
We’ve had two very successful seasons, and this one is shaping up to be our best yet! 💪
If you’re interested in sponsoring our program, please contact Ashley Davis at adavis@avenuecityschool.org.
Let’s make this season one to remember!
