Today marks the birthday of E. B. White (1899–1985), author of beloved children’s classics like "Charlotte’s Web", "Stuart Little", and "The Trumpet of the Swan". His stories are filled with friendship and kindness, perfect for reading aloud.

Community members have expressed interest in how Amendment 5 would impact ACES. We are committed to keeping our community informed on how shifting tax structures and state-level changes could directly affect our local classrooms, per-pupil funding, and operational budget stability. Take a look at the breakdown below to see what these potential changes mean for ACES.

For our final garden club we got to sample lettuce, spinach, and radish from the garden today! Then we used our mint to make a mint lemonade tasting paired with patriotic fruit kabobs and herb buttered bread 😋

Today at Summer Book Club was a BLAST! A huge thank you to Justin Palmer for teaching us all about fireworks safety & how to celebrate responsibly. Then came everyone’s favorite part—he launched 250 parachutes into the sky, and our students raced across the field to catch them!

🎯 **DISTRICT PRIDE:** What an incredible week for Avenue City School archery! We are thrilled to celebrate 5th grader Kolt, who recently traveled to Daytona Beach to compete against the absolute best young archers in the nation at the NASP 3D Championship Tournament!

Kolt put on a fantastic performance, capped off an amazing season, and represented with true excellence. Check out his incredible stats for the year:
🥈 **2nd Place** at State
🎯 **27th Place** at Eastern Nationals
🎯 **36th Place** at the East/West Championship

To achieve this level of success—especially as a fifth grader—is an extraordinary accomplishment that very few can claim!

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to Coach Jones and Coach Davis for their outstanding leadership and dedication in helping Kolt reach this level. Thank you to the entire Avenue City Community and the sponsors for helping support the ACES Archery Program.

A massive THANK YOU to local Scout Dixon Palmer for choosing our school for his service project! 🎨✨

He completely transformed our playground with fresh paint for basketball, hopscotch, four-square, and more. Plus, he gave our handicap parking area a much-needed refresh.

Our students can't wait to play, and our whole community benefits from your hard work. You rock, Dixon! 🦅👏
